He Said: Today M and R hit the pool while I packed and G watched the laundry. Then we spent a bit of time in little San Francisco. It looks like it's a nice neighbourhood, with the potential for some shopping and dining and so on. We stayed a bit, I let the kids get a couple things, and we had the 7 time winning best chowder. It was good, but I can't say I can tell a difference. I tried to hit a liquor store for the BBQ, but came away mostly empty handed. Then it was up to Mission for dinner with Shan's family, arriving around 3:30 That was a nice time. Always great to see them, and it was a lovely house. We stayed as long as we could, about 9, then had to leave because we were plowing through to Kelowna which was still about 3.5 hours. The kids fell asleep which helped. I was fine, but I don't like driving at night much anymore. The blurry lights bother me. Shannon stayed awake the entire time but not without a lot of effort. She was getting pretty loopy towards the end. It was funny.
She Said: The chowder was amazing because it had lots of butter in it and not too much salt. Very good! It was very nice for Darryl and Chelsea to host us. They have 2 nice boys who loved Gillian. We have pulled pork and beef on a bun - made by my cousin Gary. Neil and Lori were there and Michelle surprised us half way into the evening. I'm glad they got to meet my kids. I explained to my 3 that I grew up with these people. Every summer for a month and sometimes also at Christmas. 70% of Grandma's photo albums have these people in them. A big part of my childhood memories.
